I’ve been seeking the Lord for a word for this new year, for this new Jewish year of 5,785 that begins at Rosh Hashanah on the 2nd of October 2024 and continues through 2025.
As I look in the spirit, I see huge waves that are being held back like the parting of the waters. I hear the Lord saying, “Keep your eyes on Me. Keep looking to Me as you step forward. For those who do not look to Me will be drowned. Keep your eyes on Me lest you drown, not by the events themselves, but by the waters of fear.”
I see the Lord standing, beckoning you to step forward. I see the Lord calling to you and saying, “Keep your eyes on Me, for all around there are many things happening that would seek to steal your peace, but I am your peace.”
The Lord is highlighting to me the numbers of the year, 5785. Five symbolizing the Lord’s grace, the number seven symbolizing and representing completion and perfection, and eight representing new beginnings. And what the Lord is showing me is that this year is a year that is surrounded by His grace, a year of completion, of new beginnings.
And what I’m sensing in the spirit is that there is a deep connection to 2020, a year when many false starts happened, when many promising things began but then all was stopped, it was stolen. And the Lord says, “This is a year, this is a year to revisit those situations where I will make up for lost ground.”
The Bible says that when a thief is caught, they have to repay sevenfold, and I see the Lord bringing His restoration for that season of loss.
I have a sense that there is a repetition of 2020. I’m not sensing another pandemic, though it could be, but another situation that is like those huge waves that offer a choice, a choice of either responding in fear or responding in faith. As we choose to believe in the goodness of God, we will cross over and we will see restoration.
I hear the Lord calling to us, calling us to His heart to be at peace in His presence, for it is from our relationship to Him that all activity needs to flow.
The Lord is asking, “Will you let Me use this year to bring completion to the new beginnings that I want to give to you? Will you allow Me to do the impossible in this time? Draw close to Me and listen to My voice. Draw near to Me, for I am the Lord, the Lord who is making all things new, who is completing the good work that I have begun.”

I see the Lord reaching out His hand with a beautiful key, a beautiful ornate key. And the Lord says, “In this time ahead of Rosh Hashanah, it is important to approach Me. It is important to draw near to Me, to prepare your heart for that which is coming, to prepare your heart to receive My favor in this next year.
“Trust in Me and approach Me with confidence. Be humble and repentant of heart, giving to Me the burdens and the weights that you’ve carried, releasing forgiveness, allowing My healing to flow. For as you are faithful in the small, there is more that will be added to you.
“Trust in Me that this is a key time of year. It is a key season, for it is a season of preparing your heart for that which is coming in the next year. It is a time of preparation, of giving all to Me. As you give all into My hands, release the weight and the burdens that you’ve carried. Release that which needs to be forgiven, knowing that I am the Lord who is with you, knowing that I am the Lord who desires to bless you, the Lord who desires to bring you into a place where you will prosper.
“Prepare the ground. Prepare your heart in this season so that you will receive full and overflowing in this next time. Receive My grace in this day. Receive My love, for I’m giving you the key of faithfulness. As you are faithful in the small, more and more is being added to you.
“Trust in Me and trust that I’m there with you, that I am the faithful one. Prepare your heart. Prepare now for that which is ahead.”

The Lord says, “This coming year is a year of recalibration. It is a year of reorientation, for as you seek Me first, as you seek My face, I will bring alignment in your life. I am your true north, the one who is guiding you, the one who is leading you forward. Seek first My Kingdom and know that everything else will be added.
“Trust in Me that where you have seen fruitfulness, there is a pruning that is taking place to produce more fruit. Know that I am the Lord who is with you, the Lord who is blessing you. Do not mistake this pruning for rejection. Do not mistake it for a lack of My presence, but know that I am the Lord who is leading you deeper into new encounters and into new experiences, for I open up the way before you.
“I have seen your faithfulness in the small, and more and more is being added to you. Trust in Me that I am the Lord who is with you, the Lord who fills you with a renewed confidence and a renewed boldness, a boldness that comes from faith.
“Trust in Me, knowing that I have been faithful to you and I will continue to be faithful to you, for there is a time of growth and expansion which is before you, a time of filling and a time of taking possession.
“Trust in Me that I will cause you to be victorious. I will cause you to conquer in the land that I have given to you, for I am the Lord who is there by your side. I am the Lord who leads you into victory.
“It is a new day, a new season in the spirit, for I lead you into that which is yours. I lead you into fulfillment. Trust in Me that I am the Lord who is righting the wrongs of the past. I’m reframing the story of your life so that you will see My hand at work. You will know that I am the Lord.
“Draw close to Me in this time. Draw near, for it is in My presence that you will find peace, even amidst the storms of life, even amidst all that happens around. I am your peace. I am your shalom. Receive My grace and My strength at this time, for I am with you.”

I hear a sound of rumbling, like the sound of the earth as it moves against itself. And the Lord says, “Do not be afraid, for the old and the new are rubbing against each other. It is a time of setting free. It is a time of transition from the old to the new.
“And just like that time before birth, there is a time when the birth pangs are heavy, when it feels as if you cannot go through, as if you cannot go forward. So too in this time and in this season, you are facing obstacles, you are facing trials, situations that seem to be impossible.
“But remember, I am the God of the impossible. I am the Lord who brings to birth. Do not allow fear to enter, but keep your eyes and your focus upon Me, knowing that I am with you and that I’m bringing freedom to you.
“For in this time and in this season there is a new life and a new birth that I’m bringing forth, for I lead you from the old season to the new. Trust in Me that in this time of shaking I am the Lord who is your foundation. I am the Lord who is your solid rock.
“Keep your eyes, keep your focus upon Me, knowing that I am with you, knowing that I am the faithful one. For I lead you into My presence. I give you My peace. Trust in Me and allow Me to work. Allow Me to do the extraordinary for you, for I am the Lord who leads you into this season.”

As the sun is setting in Jerusalem, the Lord says, “This is the beginning of a new year. It is the beginning of a new season, for I am bringing to birth the promises that I have intended for this time. I’m bringing to birth that which I have begun.
“Though there are tears in the night, joy will come. Trust in Me that I am turning situations around for good. Enter this day, enter this season with thanksgiving. Enter with a joyful heart, giving thanks for that which I have brought forth already, giving thanks in anticipation and expectancy for the good works that I will do.
“Approach Me with confidence. Approach Me with faith, knowing that I am the faithful one who is with you, knowing that I am the Lord who brings restoration. For that which the enemy has sought to steal, to kill and to destroy will be brought back to you in full.
“Trust in Me that I am the Waymaker, the one who is clearing the path. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for My peace, My presence and My shalom to reign, for it is from that place of peace, peace even in the midst of storms, that I will bring to birth the good works that I have started.
“Trust in Me that I am there by your side, the one who is committed to you. For indeed I am opening doors in this time. I’m opening doors in this season, doors which have waited for this appointed moment.
“I am the Lord who is bringing clarity to you, greater clarity than ever before, as I cause scales to be lifted and as I cause you to see in the spirit with a new clarity, a new sense of purpose.
“Do not be afraid, but speak My Word of life. Speak My words with truth and love, knowing that I’m filling you with My Word, I’m filling you with My Spirit.
“Look up. Look up to Me, knowing that I am the Lord who is with you. Keep your eyes and your focus upon Me, not upon that which would discourage you, not upon that which would distract you, but know that I am the Lord who is with you, the Lord who fills you with confidence, who fills you with joy.
“For I lead you from the old to the new. I lead you into victory. I give you My peace. Look around and see, for there is change which is coming, change which will be brought forth. There is a shaking that is taking place, but that shaking will shake loose the chains of the past.
“I am the Lord and I am with you. Open your eyes this day. Open your heart anew, for I’m doing a new work. It is a new day.”
Father, I thank You for this time. I thank You for this season, this new year. I pray for Your peace and for Your love, for Your strength to come, that You would fill us anew with Your Holy Spirit, that You would fill us anew in this season as You take us by the hand and as You lead us into the fullness of life which is Your gift to us.
Lord, we open our hearts anew in this day to receive the blessings and the surprises of Your Spirit. Lord, You are our loving Father, and we commit all into Your hands, for we love You. We are Yours.
