Accessibility built into the site
RoshHashanahProphecy.com is a simple static website, which helps keep the content available without requiring complex interfaces. The current design includes the following accessibility considerations:
- Responsive layouts that adapt to narrow mobile screens without requiring horizontal scrolling.
- A visible mobile navigation control with keyboard support and an Escape-key close action.
- A skip-to-content link for keyboard users.
- Semantic headings, navigation, main content and footer landmarks.
- Alternative text for meaningful images, with captions that add useful context where a caption helps the reader.
- High-visibility keyboard focus outlines.
- Comfortable reading widths, line spacing and scalable text.
- Touch targets designed to be large enough for mobile use.
- Reduced-motion support for people whose device preferences request it.
- Core content that remains readable even if JavaScript is unavailable.
A continuing commitment
Accessibility is not a one-time checkbox. As new articles, images and features are added, the intention is to keep the same principles in place and correct problems when they are identified.
If something is difficult to use
If a page is difficult to read or navigate, please email prophecy@requestword.com and describe the problem. Where possible, the site will be adjusted so the same information is available in an accessible form.
